Area A1 International Speech & Table Topics Contest

Champions & 1st Runners Up from the respective Clubs will compete at the Area Level Contests.

A New Club Is Born

Congratulations to Politeknik Merlimau Toastmasters Club, which was chartered on 01 Feb'10.
Area A1 now has 4 clubs under her wings.

AG Visits Gavel Club

Area A1 Governor made her first visit to the Seg Hwa Gavel Club in Segamat on Friday morning 15 Jan '10.
She was met by the Club Counsellor Mdm.Selva, President Elaine Lee & a few of the other exco members.

Matters discussed included joint meeting with the Malacca Toastmasters Club & also how to promote the Gavel Club. Membership in the Club totalled 25 students.

This is the 1st gavel Club in Johore/Melaka.

AREA A1 EVALUATION WORKSHOP

The Area A1 'Art of Effective Evaluation' Workshop was successfully conducted & facilitated by Asst.Div.Gov. Edu & Training, Mohd Awee Sidek,ACS;

Date : Sat 07 Nov 2009
Venue : Lecture Hall, ALAM, Melaka
Time : 2.00-4.00pm

The event was attended by about 30 participants from ALAM & Malacca Toastmasters Club. There were 2 project speakers and their respective evaluators. The rest of the workshop participants were also handed the evaluation handout, for them to practice the art of evaluation during the speech presentation.

The facilitator had a field day during the Q & A session!
