The Area A1 'Art of Effective Evaluation' Workshop was successfully conducted & facilitated by Asst.Div.Gov. Edu & Training, Mohd Awee Sidek,ACS;

Time : 2.00-4.00pm

The event was attended by about 30 participants from ALAM & Malacca Toastmasters Club. There were 2 project speakers and their respective evaluators. The rest of the workshop participants were also handed the evaluation handout, for them to practice the art of evaluation during the speech presentation.

The facilitator had a field day during the Q & A session!

Area A1 Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contests

Although 03 October 2009, was a wet Saturday afternoon, it did not dampen the spirits of the Toastmasters in Area A1. Our DvG Cindy Wong & Asst.DvG Mohd Awee were already in town by 11.30am to meet up with the Director of Merlimau Polytechnic, Dr.Arshad, before heading for the Contests venue.

Although Dr.Arshad stayed only for the Humorous Contest, he was already impressed!Congratulations to the Contest Chair Joshua Ling, Co-Organiser Ruby Yong, contestants and all the role players including the Judges, for putting up a tremendously good show. My heartfelt gratitude to the audience too, without whom there would have been no show.

Alam Toastmasters Club Contest

The Alam Toastmasters Club held their Speech Evaluation Contest on Wed 30 Sept 2009 at their lecture hall. There were 10 contestants taking part in the Evaluation Contest but none for the Humorous Speech session. Capt.Khalid Hashmi was the test speaker and the students had a field day, evaluating his speech 'Curse of a Seafarer's Life'.

Installation Lunch - Malacca Toastmasters Club

The Malacca Toastmasters Club hosted their Installation lunch at the Tiara Golf Resort on Sunday 02 August 2009. Past DvG ET Lee, IPAG Michael Chu & other guests joined the Club members for the 21st Installation of their Exco 2009-10.

It was indeed a great time for fellowship as well as to celebrate the Club's success.
The theme is 'Making A Difference'

The event started with a sumptuous Chinese Lunch, followed by the installation and ended with table topics sessions which had everyone in stitches......! Just as we were having a good time, it was time to say 'adios'.
